In 1957 Ibex was founded in Spratton, Northamptonshire, the heart of England’s leather tanning and shoe industry-the choice of this location was no accident. Initially, Ibex manufactured components for the local shoe industry. Ibex went on to develop its own range of leather belts. At the beginning of the fashion boom in the ’60s Ibex had become a recognised belt brand with an international appeal.
